Tonight as I was getting out of my car to go into my house I happened to glance up at the sky just in time to see a shooting star streak past. I have always loved the night sky. I could stare at the stars and moon for hours. It's such a little thing, a shooting star. Just a piece of a meteorite falling into our atmosphere, but I get so giddy when I see one. This weekend marks the beginning of the Geminids annual meteor shower. While it's not as impressive as the Perseids, which are in August, I truly hope to see many more "falling stars" like the one I saw tonight.
And Yes... I did make a wish. :)
